Custom

What is custom cabinetry?

There are many places to buy cabinets. Larger outfits have showrooms that display specific styles of cabinets. Unfortunately, those companies can only offer what the factories have mass-produced. You are limited to specific sizes, styles, woods, and hardware.

When you decide on truly custom cabinets, the range of possibilities is virtually infinite. Any style you desire, from classic to contemporary, rustic to elegant. Any woods that we can acquire are available for your new custom cabinetry. Any hardwood, softwood or formaldehyde-free panel parts are available, including custom-veneered plywood.

Custom does not mean expensive

The benefits of hand-picked wooden materials

All materials are hand-picked for the best uniformity of color and grain pattern available. This ensures a flawless surface that shows off the natural beauty of the wood. We offer dozens of wood varieties, including standard domestic woods such as white and red oak, walnut, maple and cherry, as well as exotic woods such as rosewood, teak, purple heart, wenge and bloodwood. We have a sample catalog with over 30 distinct domestic and exotic woods.

Make the most of your space

When purchasing factory manufactured cabinets, you are forced to make your house or room fit the cabinets because of their limited sizes. With custom cabinet designs, your new cabinets are made to fit your home. You have the added benefit of using all space efficiently by adding special fixtures such as bench storage areas, lazy susans, drawer knife blocks, dividers, pantry pullouts and more. Many cabinet makers will use a “dead panel” to finish an area. We do our best to get the most use out of each and every space.

Specialty features and hardware

All custom designs can be made to integrate specialty hardware that makes your cabinets more functional. For instance, soft-close hinges and drawer slides will prevent wear and tear because they cannot be slammed shut. You also get to choose from thousands of cataloged drawer pulls, handles, knobs, hinges, and other hardware accessories to custom match the look and feel you desire.
